Distance

Lamongan Shorebase is about 86 km or 2 hours from Juanda International Airport. We are also and 60km or 75 minutes from Surabaya City. Indonesia Standard Time

Indonesia's three time zones have been changed as below:

Western Indonesia Standard Time equals GMT plus 7 hours (meridian 105oE), covering all provinces in Sumatra and Java, and the provinces of West and Central Kalimantan.

Visa on Arrival

As referred to Presidential Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia No. 21 of 2016 year dated 2 March 2016 concerning the regulation on the Visa  on Arrival (VoA) facility, the list of nationalities entitled to receive the facility is as follows:

Visa on Arrival is neither a work visa nor a visit visa. Therefore, it can not be extended or converted into another immigration permit. The maximum stay permitted is thirty (30) days and could be extended (one time) for a maximum thirty (30) days.

KITAS (Limited Stay Card)

To apply for KITAS, you must be employed by an Indonesian company. This visa allows the holder to work and stay in Indonesia for one year. KITAS can be obtained at any nominated Embassy of Indonesia.

KITAS can be applied at the local immigration office and upon receipt of KITAS which is issued by the General of Immigration, you will then be allowed to enter Indonesia.

As a KITAS holder, you will be entitled to almost everything that is allowed to a local, such a local driving license and opening of bank accounts. You will also be entitled to the same flag tariff at the hotel that is offered to a local Indonesian.

Currency

Indonesia Rupiah is indicated as IDR.

US dollars and other major currencies in banknotes or travelers checks are easily exchangeable in banks or at authorized moneychangers in main tourist destinations, but it advisable to carry sufficient rupiahs before traveling to outer provinces or minor towns. Daily rates are posted in banks and in leading daily newspapers.

Note
During the lunar month of Ramadan that precedes Eid al-Fitr, Muslims fast during the day and feast at night and normal business patterns may be interrupted. Many restaurants are closed during the day and there may be restrictions on smoking and drinking. Some disruption may continue into Eid al-Fitr itself. Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha may last anything from two to 10 days, depending on the region.
